October 12, 2013 - We ran in the ING Hartford 5K and Half Marathon at
Bushnell Park in Hartford, CT. We created a OneSmile web page with
Operation Smile and fundraised online to support our runners. We raised
$2,318 (almost funding 10 whole
smile surgeries!) by running for a cause! We even created T-shirts for
the event

October 23, 2013 - We hosted our October Fundraising event
"Carve-A-Smile to Give-A-Smile." We held the event on campus in the
Student Center, attracting a lot of students! Participation was by
donation, so students could decorate a pumpkin
for any amount of money they were able to give. We chose to decorate
pumpkins instead of carving, providing a large assortment of craft
items: glitter, ribbon, sequins, halloween-themed items like spider
rings, googly-eyes, stickers, lace tights, paint, and
more!
